Dojo SanTatsu, based out of the Providence Recreation Center (7525 Marc Drive, Falls Church VA 22042) instructs Dan Zan Ryu Jujitsu to students from 10 – 80 years of age. Dojo SanTatsu, affiliated with the American Jujitsu Institution and Jujitsu America, teaches the style of jujitsu founded by Professor Seishiro Okazaki (1890–1951) in Hawaii. Danzan-ryū jujutsu is of Japanese origin, is the unarmed art of the Samuri, and incorporates elements of the Hawaiian martial art Lua that focus upon joint locks and nerve strikes. Dr. Chuck Frizzelle (AJI 7th Dan/Professor) and Dr. Donna Lee (AJI 5th Dan) are the primary instructors at Dojo SanTatsu and cordially welcome all current and prospective students.
