Professor Tony Maynard, founder of American Combat Jujitsu and pioneer of Sport Jujitsu, will lead off. American Combat Jujitsu was derived and influenced by the many martial art styles Professor Maynard has studied, including Goshin-Jitsu, Kato-ryu Jujitsu, Small Circle Jujitsu, Judo, Chito-ryu Karate and Isshin-ryu Karate. Despite the wide variety of influences, Professor Maynard's American Combat Jujitsu remains true to his personal motto, "Devastation Through Simplicity."
Grandmaster Barry A. Broughton, PhD will present a 2-hour seminar on the Sport Jujitsu tournament format. GM Broughton is the North Atlantic Regional Director for the American Sport Jujitsu League and is a member of the coaching staff of the ASJL U.S. National Jujitsu Team, which won the gold medal at the 2017 World Championships in Australia and will be competing again in October 2019 in Orlando, FL.
Both Professor Maynard and Grandmaster Broughton are listed in The World's Greatest Martial Artists published by the Martial Arts Masters Hall of Fame. Don't miss this opportunity to train with two great martial artists!
